You will have had some experience in areas such as coordinating and planning recruitment, induction, and learning and development activities or at least have a good understanding of what good looks like in these areas. You will also be familiar with areas including performance management, culture change, business change. Your understanding of these areas may come from direct on the job experience and/or a degree or masters in areas such as Business Psychology, Occupational Psychology, Organisational Development.

We are a small but fast-growing consultancy, with clients and partners across the criminal justice sector, local authorities, charities, and a range of private sector organisations in areas such as financial services and technology. We help our clients transform their organisations and the way they deliver services. 

The role

We are looking for an ambitious and keen person with an interest in transforming people and organisations to join our friendly and high-performing team. You will be working alongside the Head of People to manage, coordinate, and deliver our People activities internally (including things like recruitment, induction, learning and development) and also support the delivery of our People Transformation Service to clients. 

This is a new internal and client facing role which is a significant step up of our focus on investing in our people and a key part of developing and growing the company. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to be involved in supporting the business as we grow and developing and delivering our new People Transformation Service. 

Below is an outline of the kind of things you could expect to be doing: 

1.    Work with Farsight's Head of People to deliver our People Strategy, including: 
•    Designing and Delivering our Recruitment Programme – liaising with recruitment agencies to source suitable candidates; arranging interviews and assessments (looking after both the content and the logistics); keeping track of what stage each candidate is at within the recruitment process; supporting with the design of the assessment approach for each campaign – including helping to design assessments and interview questions; providing candidates with feedback; suggesting improvements to the way we recruit our people 
•    Inducting and On-Boarding New Joiners – drafting contracts and offer letters; gathering HR information before a new joiner starts (references, security clearance, payroll information etc.); planning an induction programme for each new joiner; commissioning people in the team to deliver parts of the induction (alongside yourself); developing induction materials; making sure the new joiner is set up on day one with the right equipment and access to information they need 
•    Coordinating and Developing our Ongoing Programme of Learning and Development for our people – identifying learning outcomes we want to achieve each quarter and coordinating learning and development activities to meet these outcomes; researching content and developing materials to support our learning and development activities; continuously reviewing our Capability Framework and tools to support our teams development 
•    Developing our culture – feeding in and implementing ideas about how we can make Farsight an attractive proposition to potential new recruits and our current team (for example helping to shape our Retention Strategy, Our Reward and Incentivisation Strategy); coordinating team meetings; organising opportunities to bring the team together to share what their working on (Show and Tell Sessions) and organising social activities 

2.    Work with Farsight’s Head of People to continue to refine our People Strategy and update the Senior Management Team on progress, including preparing regular board papers. 

3.    Maintain our HR files to ensure our records are up to date, clear, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards. Make sure the team comply with Farsight People Management processes (such as making sure everyone has monthly and quarterly reviews, timesheets are completed on time). 

4.    Work with Farsight's Service Lead for People Transformation to develop, refine, deliver, and market our People Transformation Service, including: 
•    Research what 'good looks like' in this area and help to develop and refine our service offerings to our clients 
•    Enhance our methodologies and tools in this area - refine our existing methodologies and tools and develop new ones 
•    Market our capability in this area to existing and new clients, work with the rest of the Farsight team as appropriate to help put together proposals and ideas for specific clients
•    Together with the Farsight team deliver our service offering in the People Transformation space (and related areas)

You’ll need to have great attention to detail, be a strong communicator, and the drive to succeed. You’ll also need to be good at working with other people, well organised and trusted to get things done. A positive outlook, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint). 
You will need to be articulate, with good written and verbal communication skills and an excellent standard of both spoken and written English.
